TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

1. SERVICE AGREEMENT 


By accepting an estimate, authorizing recurring service, scheduling service, signing a proposal, approving work electronically, or permitting work to be performed, the Customer agrees to all Terms & Conditions contained herein. 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. reserves the right to modify service schedules, routes, and service dates due to weather conditions, equipment availability, safety concerns, staffing levels, or operational requirements.

2. ESTIMATES & PRICING

 

All estimates are valid for fourteen (14) days unless otherwise stated in writing. 

Quoted pricing assumes normal site conditions and unrestricted access to the property. 

Additional charges may apply for: 

Excessive grass height 

Pet waste removal 

Hidden debris 

Excessive weeds 

Brush clearing 

Storm damage 

Restricted access 

Additional labor requirements 

Material price increases 

Disposal fees 

Hazardous conditions 

Any additional work requested beyond the original scope of work shall be billed separately.

3. RECURRING SERVICE AUTHORIZATION 


Customers enrolled in recurring lawn maintenance, landscape maintenance, Harbor Plans, Estate Plans, Lake Plans, or other subscription services authorize Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. to perform scheduled services at the agreed service frequency without requiring separate approval prior to each visit. 

Service schedules may be adjusted based on: 

Weather conditions 

Turf growth rates 

Seasonal requirements 

Operational efficiency 

Route optimization 

Recurring service remains active until canceled in accordance with Section 13.

4. PROPERTY ACCESS & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Customers are responsible for ensuring: 

Property access is available on the scheduled service date. 

Gates are unlocked and accessible. 

Pets are secured. 

Vehicles are removed from service areas. 

Toys, hoses, decorations, furniture, and personal property are removed from work areas. 

If service cannot be completed due to inaccessible conditions, a service charge may be assessed. 

Properties with restricted access may incur additional charges. 

Minimum gate width required for standard mowing equipment is six (6) feet unless otherwise agreed.

5. UNDERGROUND UTILITIES & HIDDEN IMPROVEMENTS

 

Customers are solely responsible for identifying and marking all underground and concealed improvements, including but not limited to: 

Irrigation systems 

Invisible pet fences 

Landscape lighting 

Utility lines 

Drainage systems 

Septic systems 

Shallow wiring 

Water lines 

Private underground improvements 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. shall not be responsible for damage to underground or concealed items that were not properly identified prior to service.

6. HIDDEN OBJECTS, DEBRIS & PROPERTY DAMAGE

 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. shall not be responsible for damage resulting from hidden, obscured, buried, or improperly marked items, including but not limited to: 

Toys 

Hoses 

Rocks 

Tree roots 

Stumps 

Pet waste 

Landscape edging 

Decorations 

Irrigation components 

Drainage systems 

Unmarked obstacles 

Customers assume responsibility for maintaining safe and obstruction-free service areas.

7. WEATHER DELAYS 


Scheduled service dates are estimates and may be modified due to: 

Rain 

Severe weather 

Wet soil conditions 

Equipment limitations 

Unsafe working conditions 

Seasonal demand 

Service may be rescheduled to the next available business day. 

No guarantees are made regarding exact service times or dates.

8. WET GRASS CONDITIONS

 

Service performed under wet conditions may result in: 

Grass clumping 

Tire marks 

Reduced cut quality 

Extended drying times 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. will make reasonable efforts to maintain quality standards under varying weather conditions.

9. TURF, TREE & PLANT HEALTH DISCLAIMER 


Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. cannot guarantee the health, survival, appearance, growth rate, or performance of turf, trees, shrubs, flowers, or other plant materials due to factors beyond our control, including: 

Weather conditions 

Drought 

Excessive rainfall 

Soil conditions 

Insects 

Disease 

Wildlife 

Pet activity 

Irrigation practices 

Chemical exposure 

Existing site conditions 

Plant warranties, if offered, must be stated separately in writing.

10. SERVICE QUALITY STANDARDS

 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. is committed to providing professional, reliable, and consistent services. 

All services shall be performed according to company operating procedures, industry best practices, and reasonable workmanship standards. 

Customer acknowledges that results may vary due to weather, site conditions, irrigation practices, prior maintenance history, and other factors beyond the Company’s control. 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. does not guarantee identical results from property to property.

11. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING RELEASE 


Customer grants Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. permission to photograph completed projects and work areas for: 

Marketing, Advertising, Social media, Website content, Printed materials, Portfolio development.

 

Customer may opt out of photography use by providing written notice prior to service. 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. agrees not to publish customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, or specific identifying information without written consent. 

All photographs remain the property of Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C.

12. PAYMENT TERMS 


Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice unless other payment arrangements have been agreed upon. 

Invoices may be delivered by: 

Email, Text message , Mail, or Electronic invoicing platform 

Accepted payment methods include: 

Cash, Check, Credit Card, Debit Card, ACH Transfer, Online Payment.


Credit card payments will be subject to a 3% processing fee.

Debit card transactions are surcharge free.

Checks are to be made payable to Great Lakes Grounds

Recurring service customers may be enrolled in automatic billing.

13. CANCELLATION POLICY 


Customers must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours notice to cancel a scheduled service. 

Recurring service customers must provide seven (7) days notice to suspend or cancel recurring service by phone or email. 

Customer Appreciation Program members may cancel membership within twenty-four (24) hours notice by phone or email.

Any account balances will be billed or pro-rated within ten (10) business days

Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a service charge.

14. LATE PAYMENTS & COLLECTIONS 


Accounts remaining unpaid after thirty (30) days may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum amount permitted by law. 

Customer agrees to pay all reasonable costs associated with collection efforts, including: 

Attorney fees, Court costs, Collection agency fees, Administrative expenses.


Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. reserves the right to suspend service for delinquent accounts.

15. RETURNED PAYMENTS 


Any returned check, declined ACH payment, chargeback, or rejected electronic payment may be subject to a $35.00 administrative fee or the maximum amount permitted by law. 

Customer shall remain responsible for all outstanding balances and associated fees.

16. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION 


If a customer believes a service was not completed according to agreed standards, Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. must be notified within forty-eight (48) hours of service completion. 

Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. reserves the right to inspect and, if necessary, re-perform the original service before any refund, credit, or price adjustment is considered.

17. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE 


Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service due to: 

Unsafe conditions 

Aggressive animals 

Harassment or abusive behavior 

Hazardous materials 

Non-payment 

Excessive property hazards 

Conditions that jeopardize employee safety

18. STORM CLEANUP SERVICES

 

Storm cleanup estimates are based upon visible conditions at the time of inspection. 

Additional charges may apply if hidden debris, excessive weight, hazardous conditions, disposal fees, or unforeseen site conditions are encountered.

19. JUNK REMOVAL & DUMPSTER RENTAL RESTRICTIONS 


Customers agree not to place or dispose of: 

Hazardous waste 

Chemicals 

Paint 

Batteries 

Fuels 

Asbestos 

Medical waste 

Explosives 

Illegal materials 

Additional disposal fees may apply for prohibited materials. 

Customer shall be responsible for any fines, penalties, disposal fees, or damages associated with restricted items.

20. FUTURE SERVICE DIVISIONS 


These Terms & Conditions shall apply to all services provided by Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C., including but not limited to: 

Lawn Maintenance 

Landscaping 

Mulch Installation 

Aeration 

Overseeding 

Dethatching 

Property Cleanups 

Brush Removal 

Junk Removal 

Dumpster Rental Services 

Future Great Lakes affiliated service divisions 

Unless superseded by a separate written agreement.

21. DISPUTE RESOLUTION 


In the event of any dispute arising from services provided by Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C., both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter through good-faith communication. 

If resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to first attempt mediation prior to initiating litigation. 

Any legal action shall be brought in the county where services were performed unless otherwise required by law.

22. FORCE MAJEURE 


Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or inability to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: 

Severe weather 

Natural disasters 

Flooding 

Utility failures 

Labor shortages 

Government actions 

Supply chain disruptions 

Equipment failures 

Service schedules may be adjusted accordingly.

23. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 


All company branding, logos, photographs, marketing materials, proposals, pricing structures, service packages, operating procedures, and proprietary business systems remain the exclusive property of Great Lakes Grounds L.L.C. 

No materials may be reproduced, distributed, copied, or used without written permission.
